About us

In China, academic organizations related to microwave energy applications were previously dispersed into three organizations: Institute of Microwave Power Application in Chemical Industry and Engineering (IMPACIE), Institute of Vacuum Electronics (IVE), and Microwave Branch of Chinese Institute of Electronics (MB). The research focuses of these three organizations located in different fields. For example, IMPACIE focuses on the microwave/RF power applications in chemical engineering, while IVE pays great attention to the basic theory and design of microwave/RF sources, such as magnetron, and MB is heavily weighted in favor of microwave/RF heating devices and heating effects.

Considering the increasing number and complexity of disciplines and organizations involved in the widespread applications of microwave energy, after discussion, IMPACIE, IVE and MB agreed to establish a joint platform and named it China Association of Microwave Power Applications (CAMPA) in 2018. This platform acts as an interface between China and world's three major microwave energy organizations - AMPERE (Association for Microwave Power in Europe for Research and Education), IMPI (International Microwave Power Institute), and JEMEA (Japan Society of Electromagnetic Wave Energy Applications). It also acts as a platform for sharing relevant information in the field of microwave energy applications both domestically and internationally, like sharing information on domestic microwave energy applications conferences and events, as well as the academic conferences of the three major microwave energy organizations mentioned above.
